    The speaker recalls how her grandmother made marbles by melting old bullets and molding them in the earth. These were then used for bowling games played on the ice, which people would bet on.

    Deloria recalls the adventures of Oglala culture hero Iron Hawk, noting "I remember with extra-ordinary clearness the odd words which I do not usually use or hear, which go with some of these scenes and speeches.”
